- February through April, 2023: Barns of Nova Scotia – Photographs by Linda Hall
Artist Statement
Nova Scotia has a rich history of farming and throughout the province there are numerous old farmsteads and old barns. These old buildings have rich character, with interesting lines, texture, and colors. Some are well maintained, and sadly some have been abandoned. Whether maintained or abandoned, it is truly amazing how the carpentry of years ago has stood the test of time.
Linda enjoys exploring all types of photography, but landscapes, nature and rural settings represent much of her work and are closest to her heart. Linda has been a member of the Bridgewater Photo Club for several years and enjoys the opportunity for continued growth and learning.

- February through April, 2023: Exploring ICM – Photographs by Sue Hutchins
Artist Statement
Sue Hutchins has recently been exploring the world of ‘Intentional Camera Movement’, or ICM for short.
The goal of ICM is to create an impression of a subject, rather than producing a sharp image. It aims to create images that are both pleasing to look at, but intentionally ambiguous. This leaves room for the viewer’s own interpretation.
Subjects may be from the great outdoors using natural light, or items around the home using an artificial light source such as lamps or flashlights. Weather becomes a non-issue, and one can always find something to aim at.
So after spending years ensuring her camera stayed steady, she is now waving it around with abandon!
