  • Marsha Tanner was the winner of a province wide Pampered Pet Contest.
  • Research is being done on prices for a new projector if our existing projector cannot be improved with repair/calibration. A vote was taken amongst members to give permission to the executive to purchase a new projector if need be. We do have the funds if required.

  • Refreshments were provided by Peter Stuempel.

Presentations:

  • Teresa Alexander Arab spoke of her journey into photography. She was voted Photographer of the Year last year. She shared with us some of her wonderful photographs. She demonstrated some of the techniques she uses when preparing to take a shot. She told us of tips and areas in which she made improvements to her technique.
  • Grant Dixon made a presentation on “Raw to Ready Photography”. Grant discussed photography as a form of art and its ability to create emotion. Photographs should be planned ahead of time. Thought should be given to the type of shot you want. Most of all, keep things simple.

The next meeting is Tuesday, November 22, 2011.

The guest speaker will be Mark Doucette. His topic will be “Rebuilding the Bluenose”
