Trophies & Awards

The club currently has 10 trophies which are awarded at the year end banquet in May.

Scavenger Hunt Trophy – is awarded to the individual or team that achieves the highest score from the Scavenger Hunt (a list of specific photographs captured during a club field trip).

Treasure Hunt Trophy –  is awarded to the team or individual scoring the most points in an assigned photographic treasure hunt. There is approximately 6 weeks to collect 10 specific digital images.

Marilyn Morrison Memorial Trophy: is presented to the overall winner from all Nature competitions.

Sylvia Dorey Memorial Trophy: is presented to the overall winner from all Floral competitions.

Fred Hay Memorial Trophy: is presented to the photographer with theHighest Total in Print Competitions

Best Projected Image Photographer Trophy: is presented to the photographer with the Highest Total in Projected Image Competitions

Silent Essay Trophy: is presented to the club member who scores the highest number of points in the Silent Essay Competition (a story with a maximum of 12 digital photographs).

Sight and Sound Essay – The Gordon McGowan Trophy: is presented to the club member who scores the highest number of points in the Sight and Sound Essay Competition (a set of digital photographs set to sound, maximum 10 minute presentation)

New Member Trophy: is presented to the overall winner of a “new member only” projected image competition (6 digital images)

Photographer of the Year: awarded to the club member accumulating the highest number of points in overall competition throughout the club year. It includes scores from all print and projected image competitions, Silent Essay, and Sight and Sound Essay.
